Straits of Tiran

The Tiran Strait, strategically located at the entrance to the Red Sea, is a top diving destination in Egypt. It is renowned for its magnificent underwater mountain range formed by four major reefs. Strong currents nourish vibrant coral gardens and attract numerous pelagic creatures, including hammerhead sharks and grey reef sharks. Divers can experience exhilarating drift dives, admiring spectacular sights along vertical cliffs, such as giant brain coral formations. The best diving season is during the summer (June-September), when the water temperature is comfortable and marine life is most active. This area is suitable for intermediate to advanced divers with some experience.
